Why We Do What We Do...

When I was in high school, all I wanted to do was play backup trumpet with the great jazz trumpet player Maynard Ferguson.  I even had the chance, but I was young and followed the more traditional, safe route. I went to college and got an education so that I could support myself with a traditional, secure J.O.B.

And for the next 25 years, life was pretty sweet.  I made more money as an investment broker on Wall Street than a guy in his 20’s should probably pull in.  The hard-hitting pace, slam-bam pace burned me out after 10 years, and I relocated to Pittsburgh to open up my own mortgage company and be my own boss.

My business grew from 2 employees to 50 and from one office to branches in 3 states…and it was incredibly rewarding to create something from nothing.  My plan was to retire in my mid-50’s and spend the rest of my days golfing and traveling.

And then the real estate industry imploded, and my life did a complete 180 degree turn... 

Knowing that the future was on the Internet, I started studying with the best online marketers (Dan Kennedy, Howie Schwartz, Eben Pagan to name a few) and found a solid company that had a product that resonated with me because of my financial background.

Hi!  I grew up with an entrepreneur dad who taught me that anything was possible with hard work.  Problem was…I couldn’t make up my mind what I wanted to be “when I grew up.”  After changing my major at least five times, I settled on secondary education with English and Spanish as my focus.

After living in Europe for two years teaching missionary children and traveling, I returned to teach at the high school level for 29 years. I loved education, but I always dreamed of working from home before my son went off to college.

When Art asked if I would help him in his new venture, I was happy to do some copywriting for him.  Two years later, all I could think about was retiring from education so that I could help him full-time.  I absolutely loved being an Internet entrepreneur.

So I did...I just quit at the end of the school year.  I had complete faith that with hard work we would be successful.

AND TODAY… 

As we progressed in our online business, it became clear that our real passion was teaching and mentoring.  We never forgot how tough the learning curve was for two "technically-challenged newbies" ...so we especially love helping others who are just starting out as online businessmen and women and teaching them in a step-by-step format that anyone can follow.

What we invested in our online marketing education as well as the many, many mistakes (due to not having any real mentorship) added up to the equivalent of a hefty down payment on a home...and we want to prevent that from happening to anyone else who is serious about putting their business on the "Google map."

Today, our primary focus is helping small businesses strategically automate their online and offline marketing efforts as certified marketing consultants through our business Barron Marketing Solutions using the power of Infusionsoft® CRM and marketing automation system.

We also spend time coaching our private clients, teaching live courses, and conducting seminars.

But our greatest enjoyment is spending an hour every Thursday night in our free webinars with folks who are trying hard to master Internet marketing skills.

Cheryl and I love working as a team - we've been told we have a "Ricky and Lucy" vibe during our webinars and stage events. 

But hey, life's too hard not to have fun, right?

It's our goal to work with like-minded individuals who are not content with the status quo, who think BIG, and who want to live even BIGGER!
